Ken Schneider -- Biographical Information

Kenneth C. Schneider, MD MPH

Ken Schneider is a graduate of St. Peter's College (BS), New Jersey Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (MD), and Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (Master of Public Health).

Dr. Schneider is a Diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He holds the rank of Captain (retired), Regular Commissioned Corps of the United States Public Health Service, and was licensed to practice medicine in New Mexico. He is now retired from the practice of medicine.

He has extensive experience in policy development and management in the Health Care Financing Administration (the federal agency which administers and oversees Medicare and Medicaid), and has served on several state and national quality assurance and peer review related work groups.

Until moving to Florida in 2004, Ken and Mary Lou were active in ministries at Holy Child Catholic Parish, Tijeras, New Mexico. They also led bird walks at Rio Grande Nature Center State Park in Albuquerque, and volunteered with the US Forest Service, Sandia Ranger District. Here is a list of bird species (with pictures) seen in their Ventana del Sol subdivision in Cedar Crest, New Mexico.
